DDA’s design for this three acre public school site features a multi-use memorial garden. Both point of entry to the school building and a place of repose, the garden creates an interplay of ephemeral pink, purple and blue flowering perennials and a dozen solid boulders strewn around and through the planting bed. While nearby benches provide the obvious means of sitting, the boulders double as seats and sculptures. Parking lot reconstruction, new walkways and play area complete DDA’s improvements to the site.
