Neighborhood Holyoke, Massachusetts
The Churchill
neighborhood in Holyoke, Massachusetts replaces a demolished 1940’s super-block
public housing project with a mix of subsidized and market-rate townhouses,
restoration of the City’s street grid, a park and a community center.
Constructed in 2001, the rental townhouses shown here reflect DDA’s design
of street frontages and rear yards, as well as residents’ imagination
and initiatives in their private gardens. |
